Fleur
Gender: Female Age Estimate: Born 2021 (4 years old) Coat length: Long Hair Good with Children: No Introducing Fleur. She has been in care for a few years, and at first hid in the very darkest corner she could find. She would hiss and strike at any who dared come near. So, in spite of being a beautiful medium haired cat, nobody wanted to take her home. We believe she has NEVER experienced home life. After being housed in an open space with several other cats and tolerates being with them. She is not the type to want or need a special buddy, but is certainly learning from the others that people mean her no harm. Some volunteers she even takes treats, brushes and pets from. With the odd lucky one able to pick her up for a brief moment. What kind of home does Fleur need? Quiet, lots of places to hide, lots of treats given with soft voices and a friendly friend to show her the way!

Valeria
Gender: Female Age Estimate:Born 2022 ( 4 years) This beautiful young lady is about 4 yrs old, spayed and ready to go. Like so many part Maine Coon Cats, she has wonderful long fur with striking patterns of swirls and waves. Her eyes sparkle with wonder at new things happening around her. She has been in care for a long time, and was trapped on the streets, completely traumatized with the struggle to survive. She knows now that people give treats, which she loves, and that they work quietly around her most of the time. She enjoys spending time with other cat buddies. If the right person would just call, ask to see her, and wait for her to be coaxed out, they would be drawn to those mesmerizing eyes and that beautiful striped and swirled coat of blacks and grays and silver colours. And as that great song goes, “All you need is love!” and patience, you can experience the great thrill of having a shy lost homeless beauty come out to play, “talk” to you and finally sit beside you and purr in delight when they discover that the trust you have earned brings rewards for both of you.

Merri Lee and Miri
Miri, Magda and Merrilee were born in a dilapidated barn. The kind farmer did provide table scraps and water, and straw to burrow in when it got cold. He was not too sure who were mothers or daughters out of the trio, but they certainly are bonded. Merri Lee acts like the protective sister to Miri. Miri will stay hidden in a corner. When approached slowly and with much patience they may be curious enough to smell your hand. When Merri Lee is not scared or protecting Miri she will adventure out and want to play with the other cats. With the right person, some extra love, light music and patience. These two beautiful girls will be great companions. The adoptive family would need to have no other pets or young children to frighten them, and be generous with the treats, which gets them every time. They love to be up high, so you can expect top of fridge and other high spots to be useful. And anywhere at a window. We also request No outside freedom as their wild instincts will simply grow and they will be lost.

Mayflower- female 1-2 yrs old @ Little Paws Cafe
This striking grey and orange lady is learning about home life in foster care with her sister Moonbeam. She is cautious around people as yet and will need some time to warm up to her new people! These girls came into care when their owner passed away. Nearly 20 cats went from a caring but crowded home to a shelter, to Little Paws Cat Cafe, and then to a foster home. No wonder they feel so unsettled. Please help their world stop spinning.

Moonbeam 1-2 years old @ Little Paws Cafe
Moonbeam is a beautiful dusty gray tabby with expressive amber eyes. She is quickly becoming used to cuddles and treats. She does need to be adopted with her sibling Mayflower, so it's two beauties to fill your space with playfullness! These girls came into care when their owner passed away. Nearly 20 cats went from a caring but crowded home to a shelter, to Little Paws Cat Cafe, and then to a foster home. No wonder they feel so unsettled. Please help their world stop spinning.

Rembrandt
Gender: Male Age estimate: Born September 2021 (5 years) These are the brothers who have never found a home. Hopes were for them to be adopted together, but if that is not possible, a forever home for each one of them would be wonderful! Handsome tuxedo brothers Picasso and Rembrandt have been in care nearly 5 years. Their mother arrived at the shelter with them in tow, and very soon gave birth to another litter. These are brothers that will challenge you. They are not snuggly lap cats. They do like to play with toys and each other. Adopting them together will give them the best home ever, but we will consider single adoptons.

Picasso
Gender: Male
Age estimate: Born September 2021 (5 years)
Picasso and Rembrant were caught with their mom in January 2022
Rembrandts brother is the shyer quieter one, but he does love his treats.

Rayna @ Little Paws CAfe
Gender: Female Age Esimate: Born 2021-2022 (4-5 years) Rayna was found running loose on Raymond Street in New Liskeard 2 years ago. She was extremely traumatised and wary of people. She has been challenging to work with, but thanks to all the kind people who have helped feed and care for her, she is coming around to love. This beautiful tuxedo girl is petite, and will not be a huge cat. She watches everything going on around her, and enjoys hanging out with other cat buddies. Her forever home should have high places and windows where she can check out the world from a safe haven. There should be a gentle cat buddy or two to help show her the way to your lap and heart. Very active small children are not recommended as we believe she will just become a great hider. And dogs…well, let’s just say they are an unknown.

Julia
Gender - female Age 5yrs? Julia was a matted and weary street cat. She was brought into care several years ago, and has been very hard to approach or care for. Now that she is delighting in a caring foster home, she is learning that hands with treats are a wonderful thing. With patience this lovely long-haired gray lady will make a great addition to a home. She doesn't seem attached to other cats, but she is very comfortable in a multi cat home. Do you need a mouser? Not worried if she ever becomes a lap cat? Julia may be for you. But please, NEVER let her outside again. Her fur becomes tangled and snarled easily. We are introducing her to gentle brushing.Julia has come so far! Info coming soon

Purrl
Gender- spayed female Age approx. 4yrs old Purrl is a medium length long haired grey and white beauty who has been in care for a very long time. Her multi-coloured fur is arranged in the most amazing patterns and that face… is so amazing. And those amber eyes are compelling! She is now 4 years old, and has been in care since she was young. At first, it was hoped she would quickly be adopted as a beautiful, playful, friendly lady. Just one problem. Puurl is shy and reluctant to have humans near her. Puurl is adjusting well to life in a foster home, and does very well with other cats to keep her company. So who is she the best fit for? A quiet patient family with a lonely only older cat (4 or more years old) for Puurl to learn the ropes from. Or a special person who doesn’t mind sharing space with a lady who will appreciate a calm place to come to terms with family life. Plenty of hidey-holes and secret spots where she can feel safe. Who knows when or if she feels that she can be buddies with her people, but their cat family will find a loving friend who enjoys kitty snuggles. A foster to adopt situation can certainly be arranged with no up-front fees to pay, and food and litter provided if you prefer. It’s much better than just a meet and greet at this stage. Won’t you give her a chance?

Kodiak
gender male Age 4+ yrs old This handsome man with the gorgeous owl-eyes has recently been found at a feral colony supported by Animals First since 2019. He is still quite feral, but is in an experienced foster home where he has a good chance to learn to appreciate all the love he will receive. He is in good health, and could be adopted at any time to a quiet environment with calm cat buddies. Since he has lived some time on the streets, dogs would not be a good idea for some time!

Maggie
Gender: Female Age Estimate: Born 2025 (9 months to 1 year old) It has been said about many things that “it takes a village”. Maggie’s story explains how wide reaching we need to take this quote in Canada. You see, Maggie is from Notre Dame. Over a provincial border. From a place where not a lot of options are available for stray cats. Maggie was found several months ago, when the weather was starting to get cold. A kind family allowed her in their warm shed, and kept her fed and cared for. Beautiful torti-calico Maggie loves being in a home, enjoys the company of other cats and is a wonderful snuggle buddy for everyone she meets. She has not been introduced to dogs as yet, so we can’t say her new home can have dogs. There is a possibility that Maggie speaks French! Her current foster family does not. So we are hoping a bi-lingual family might want to add her to their family!

Magda
Merrilee is beginning to come around and accept pets. Miri is the leader of all the cats in her area at the shelter and Magda is a bit of a loner. The adoptive family would need to have no other pets or young children to frighten them, and be generous with the treats, which gets them every time. They love to be up high, so you can expect top of fridge and other high spots to be useful. And anywhere at a window. We also request No outside freedom as their wild instincts will simply grow and they will be lost.

socks
Male 1 1/2 years old. Neutered. Not good with people or dogs. Okay with cats A most incredibly handsome tabby and white boy with amazing green eyes. He is about 1 ½ years old, neutered and ready to go. His foster mom says that he has finally (after several months) stopped hissing at her. He is housed with several other shall we say “shy” cats. When she is not in their area she hears playing and fun. But everybody disappears when she comes in. A quiet home, preferably with people friendly cats to show him the way. Adopters with a world of patience.

Allegra
Female - 4 yrs old bonded with Acapella Acapella is a beautiful tortoise shell with amazing yellow eyes that are always watchful. And Allegra is a wonderful dark mottled tabby. They love to be in a high safe space, with nooks and crannies to hide in. These beautiful siblings are spayed and vaccinated and ready to go. They will take time to adjust, as will most adopted animals, but with these two, you stand to reap a greater reward when they finally snuggle beside you and beg for pets and brushes. I am not promising next week, next month, or even next year, but it has happened quickly for many of our former ferals. They would do well with other quiet cats and appreciate a home with high-rise cat trees or available furniture tops so they can look down and survey the loving family that is waiting for them. It is preferred that they be adopted together, but at least into a home with a gentle cat for company. Special adoption rates are being offered if you can keep the two of them together

Patsy
Gender:Female Age Estimate: 4 or 5 yrs. Coat length: Short Good with Children: No Good with Pets: Cats Introducing a lovely middle-aged lady. Her name is Patsy and she is all dressed up in black and white bib and tucker, hoping to move on to a forever home. But I cannot say “sweet Patsy” and hope for a loving forever home. In shelter she has remained aloof, fearful and “fightful “with people. So What kind of home are we hoping for in Patsy’s case? Infinite patience, acceptance of the fact she may remain your invisible cat for a long time to come, another cat buddy or two for her to bond with and lots and lots of treats. I always feel bad for these semi-feral sweethearts that just need a soft place to land after the terrors of the street, and the confines of the shelter. Won't you give her a chance to find a forever home and lots of love?

Acapella
female approx.4 yrs old bonded with Allegra Acapella is a beautiful tortoise shell with amazing yellow eyes that are always watchful. Teddy
Neutered male Age 18months A little shy Teddy is a handsmone tabby boy who is beginning to trust and play well with his foster mom. He enjoys the company of other cats, and would enjoy a quiet home with at least one other cat friend to show him the way to your heart!
